IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Gail A
Walker
April 2, 1955 – April 18, 2025
Gail Ann Walker, born on April 2, 1955, peacefully entered her eternal home on April 18, 2025, in Atlanta, Georgia.
Gail was a shining light in the lives of everyone who had the privilege of knowing her. Her journey on this earth was marked by love, compassion, and unwavering faith in God. She was an obedient daughter, a supportive sister, a faithful wife, and a dedicated mother. Many considered her the glue that held the family together. Her passing has left a void in the hearts of her family, friends, and many others whose lives she touched.
Gail's children remember her as a loving disciplinarian. There was no shortage of love in their home, and she ensured they were prepared for life's challenges. Her teachings are often quoted in conversations, such as, "The energy you're using to complain could be used to get it done." She was a cheerleader for her children, taking great joy in their academic and professional achievements, and she continually challenged them to strive to be their best selves.
Gail possessed the remarkable ability to assess situations and quickly navigate to a resolution. There are many stories of how she could capture her children's attention and then answer the phone as though she hadn't just given them a "lesson."
Although Gail's physical presence may no longer grace our lives, her spirit will continue to inspire and uplift us. May her memory be a blessing, and may we carry forth her legacy of love and compassion in all that we do. As she continues to worship Jesus, may her light forever shine brightly in our hearts.
Gail is survived by her loving parents, Jesse and Mary Williams; her sisters, Sharon Cooper, and Cathy (Larry) Gipson; her children, Christal Walker, Leslie Walker, Jr., Lance Walker, and Kyle Walker; and her grandchildren, Israel (Brandon) Kincy, Naomi Davis, Xavier Walker, and Xaiden Walker. She also leaves behind an extended family that adored her dearly, including nieces, Leah Cooper, and Victoria Gipson, and nephew, Steven Gipson.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Leslie B. Walker, Sr. (1987), with whom she will be laid to rest.
