Travis Derell Gordon was born May 13, 1988, in Joliet, IL, to Charlene Rimpson Gordon and Ted Williams.

Travis accepted Christ at a young age under the leadership of his grandfather, Bishop Leonard D. Rimpson. He was known for his joyful spirit and always had a smile on his face.

Travis was raised by his loving grandparents, Leonard D. Rimpson and Dora L. Rimpson. He attended Joliet Central High School and was painted in a mural outside of Hufford Jr. High School.

Travis was a wonderful father and enjoyed spending time with his kids and companion, Tina Martin. Travis always provided for his kids and loved to make them happy.

Travis is preceded in death by his mother, Charlene Gordon, father, Ted Williams, and one brother, Jeremiah Gordon, as well as maternal grandparents Leonard and Dora Rimpson.

Travis leaves to cherish his memory two sisters, Fredrica Gordon and Sheri Gordon, and one brother, Corey Williams. Four daughters: Taniyah Aubrey Gordon, Amaya Gordon, Aavani Gordon, and Charlene Gordon; one son, Travis Gordon Jr.; and a special godmother, Linda McNeel.

A host of cousins, friends, nieces, and nephews will miss Travis.
